Radio transmitting licenses must be held by a New Zealand registered business entity for Government compliance purposes. Gateway Teleport will obtain and hold a license for your project.

VSAT Earth Stations typically do not require a transmitting license if they are covered by the Satellite General User Radio License (GURL).

Ka and C-Band Satellite Transmit licenses are available in New Zealand depending on frequency and location of the Uplink.

Gateway Teleport’s Chief Technology Officer, Keith Ramsay is an Accredited Radio Engineer with New Zealand’s Radio Spectrum Management Department (RSM). Keith constructs, applies for and manages all Transmitting and Receiving licenses at Gateway Teleport and licenses for remote projects within New Zealand.
