Gateway Space Operations has constructed a number of Earth Stations including the “in house” complete rebuild of our new Space Operations Centre.

Our most challenging build to date was during COVID (2021). This was the 6.2 Metre C-Band Earth Station in the Chatham Islands for RCG.

This project delivers 4G services and Internet for New Zealand’s 3 Mobile Operators and brings mobile communications to the Chatham Islands for the first time.

Gateway Space Operations has also constructed a number of other Earth Stations which cannot be detailed because of active NDAs.

We also travelled to Scott Base in Antarctica in February 2020 to carry out site surveys and potential design for a Ku-Band satellite solution for Antarctica New Zealand.

Our Senior Satcom Engineer Daniel is highly skilled in Antenna Construction and alignment giving us complete “in house” capabilities.

Gateway Space Operations also offers complete Consultancy Services for LEO/MEO Gateways or Earth Station builds.
